Richard Epcar

Richard Epcar has voiced over 300 characters and is well known to animation, game and anime fans.  Beginning his career with the original Robotech series Richard played Ben Dixon, Lunk, Grel, and now Capt. Vince Grant in Robotech: the Shadow Chronicles, which he also directed.
 
He is the voice of Batou in all things Ghost in the Shell, including Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, which he also adapted and directed into English.

Richard has also voiced a number of video games.  Here are some of the games where he can be heard: Transformers: War for Cybertron, Modnation Racers, all Kingdom Hearts games (except the first one) as Ansem / Xehanort, Mortal Kombat vs. D.C. Universe as The Joker and Raiden, Call  of Duty 7Dead Space II, Spec Ops, Basara, Star Wars: Empire at War, Star Wars: Old Republic, a new dc game in which he plays Green Arrow, Star Craft II as Dark Templar, Red Faction Guerilla, Command & Conquer, Xenosaga I, II and III as Ziggarat 8, Ace Combat 6, Guilty Gears, hack I, II, III, Blue Dragon, Naruto, Space Siege, Supreme Commander, Paraworld, Blackhawk Down, Samurai Warriors, Dynasty Warriors, Warcraft III, and World of Warcraft III, Street Fighters, Dante's Inferno, and Star Ocean I, II, III.

Most recently Richard can be heard on a brand new series from nickelodeon, Airbender: The Legend of Korra.  More of his recent work includes Bleach as Koga and Zangetsu, Naruto, Gundam Unicorn as Daguza, Buso Renkin, Huntik as Grier, Ghost Slayer Ayashi, Blue Elephant, Blaze of Glory, Bobobo-bobobobo, The Mr. Men Show as Mr. Noisy and Monster as inspector lunge.

Besides being a talented voice actor Richard Epcar has also proven to be a proficient director.   Examples of his work include: Lupin the Third (also doing the voice of Jigen), Noein (also doing the voice of Kooyrama), the first season of Digimon (also doing the voices of Etemon, Myotismon, and Apemon), Digimon Data Squad (also doing the voice of Merukimon), the original animated movie The Reef in which he also played Moe, the series Fighting Spirit (also doing the voice of Kamogawa, Patlabor III, The Secret of Mamo, Zentrix, ToyWarrior, and Power Rangers (doing many monster voices on the popular show).  

Richard also wrote for Transformers and did the voice of Armorhide.

Some fans will remember him from X-Men as Gladiator, Lucky Star, Serial Experiments Lain, Trigun, Wings of Honneamise, Fist of the North Star, Fushigi Yuugi as Mitsukake, Macross Plus as Guld, Captain Harlock, Ninja Scroll as Gemma, Curious George, Teknoman as Mac, GTO, Samurai X, Rurouni Kenshin as Seijuro Hiko, Macross I, II, and III, Eagle Riders, Mobil Suit Gundam, Witch Hunter Robin, the new Speed Racer as Racer X, and Cyber Soldier 009 as Black ghost.

Richard Epcar was named favorite actor by DVD Vision Japan.

Richard has also directed numerous video games including: Star Ocean I and II, Blue Dragon, Vandal Hearts, Shadow Hearts II, Lupin the Third, Fighting Spirit (also playing Kamagawa), Victorious Boxers (also playing Kamagawa), Vegas Smackdown vs. Raw, Jackass the Game, Dead-Head Fred, and co-directed Unreal Tournament III.

Richard he also does tons of voice work on many shows including:  The Day the Earth Stood Still, What Happens in Vegas, The Proposal, The Killing Room, Resident Evil 3, Ugly Betty, Street Kings, Gilmore Girls, Jag, Devil's Rejects, Diagnostics Murder, Xena, Hercules, Gladiator, Independence Day, Inspector Gadget, Seven, Rumble in the Bronx, Man in the Iron Mask, Rounders, Crime Story, Hell Raiser III and IV, Hard Target, Operation Condor, Hopalong Cassidy, ER, Nash Bridges, Babylon, and many others.

As an actor he can be seen in an international Coke commercial and a new webisode-series Operation-Nightshade.  He's had recurring roles on Days of Our Lives and General Hospital.

He has co-starred in Memoirs of an Invisible Man and Three Putts.

On television Richard has done several shows, including Columbo, Diagnosis Murder, Guns of Paradise, Beverly Hills 90210, Matlock, Whos's the Boss, and Cheers.

As an international supervisor for Universal Pictures and Dreamworks, Richard's work has taken him all over the world supervising the foreign dubs and mixes of feature films such as:  Gladiator, Madagascar, Galaxy Guest, Chicken Run, El Dorado, and the 20th anniversary release of E.T.
