Phil LaMarr
Phil was one of the original cast members of Fox’s Mad TV. He has also appeared as a guest on a great many TV shows from Fresh Prince of Bel Air and NYPD Blue to Raising Hope, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Time Rush, Happy Endings, and Castle.Phil has been profiled numerous times for his extensive voice-over work, which includes featured roles in Hoodwinked Too!, Zambezia, and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa; regular roles on the animated series Futurama, Kaijudo, Samurai Jack, and Justice League Unlimited; recurring roles on Family Guy, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Young Justice as well as parts in videogames like Rage, Dead Island, and Infamous 2.
Phil is an alumnus of Yale University and The Groundlings, the award-winning sketch and improv comedy group where he worked alongside such comedic stars as Jennifer Coolidge, Kathy Griffin and Will Ferrell. An improvisor since his teens, he has also studied improv at Second City and at the ImprovOlympic in Chicago with Del Close. In addition to performing with Cold Tofu, Off the Wall, Phil has also performed and taught at The Groundlings, LA Theatersports, and the Purple Crayon of Yale University of which he was a founding member.
His stage credits also include Patty Patty Bang Bang: The Patty Hearst Musical as well as productions with The Actor’s Gang, South Coast Repertory and Sacred Fools Theatre.
In addition to the films Pulp Fiction, Step Brothers, and Free Enterprise, Phil also played the lead role in director Tim Russ’ A Night At The Silent Movie Theater. Phil took on the role of "Cowboy Curtis" in The Pee-wee Herman Show both on Broadway and in the Emmy-nominated HBO special and appeared in the Dreamworks feature Real Steel with Hugh Jackman.
