Doug Sneyd has been under contract with Playboy Magazine since 1964 and has had over 450 full-page color cartoons published in the magazine. The Art of Doug Sneyd, published by Dark Horse Comics, features 270 Sneyd cartoons; the 248-page hardcover book was a 2012 Eisner Award nominee in the Best Humor Publication category.

Starting out as a book and magazine illustrator, Sneyd has also had a successful career as a syndicated cartoonist; his topical single-panel and cartoon strips ran for nearly twenty years in newspapers throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Although semi-retired, he still draws for Playboy Magazine and travels to comics-cartoon conventions, selling original art, limited edition prints and commissioned artwork along with his self-published book Unpublished Sneyd, which features 100 of his favorite Playboy gag rough "rejects."
