Idaho born American character actress Tara Buck has built a solid reputation for her raw portrayal of the underdogs in life, whose stories are less often told.  She is widely known as a powerhouse transformative character actress who has built an eclectic resume that runs the gamut from tragedy, comedy, farce to fantasy. Whether appearing in television, film, commercials or theatre productions Tara brings raw emotion and years of expertise to her roles.

Tara is best known for her recurring role as the fang-banging barmaid "Ginger" in HBO's True Blood. Earning her stripes, she attended and excelled at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Shortly after graduating Tara landed her first recurring television role on the hit series Party of Five. More recently Tara received rave reviews for her skilled performance in the FX series Nip/Tuck as the tragic, fake carver victim "Rhea Reynolds". Tara has also guest starred in numerous other television shows including Bones, Prime Suspect, Southland, Justified, Cold Case, The Closer, The Shield, The X-Files, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Without a Trace, and Navy NCIS just to name a few.

Tara's deep passion for the theatre has driven her to numerous live productions including, most recently leading roles in Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize winning play How I Learned to Drive (2010) and the West Coast premier of Marisa Wegrzyn's Ten Cent Night (2009). In 2005, Tara was nominated for an Ovation Award for her tour de force performance in A Gift from Heaven opposite Beth Grant.

In theaters now Tara's work can been seen in two indie films across the country Tomorrow You're Gone (starring with Michelle Monaghan, Stephen Dorff and Willem Dafoe) and K-11 (starring with Goran Visnjic). Tara has multiple films in production currently that audiences can look forward to seeing in theaters late 2013.
