Burn Gorman

Burn Gorman is a Hollywood born, London raised actor who's ambition is to collide as many fandoms as possible. This summer he appears in Guillermo Del Toro's monster/robot mash up Pacific Rim as Dr Herman Gottlieb and was seen last year in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises. Among his other film credits are the films Red Lights, Johnny English Reborn, Up There, Cemetery Junction, The Oxford Murders, Fred Claus, Penelope, The Best Man, Layer Cake, and Red Light Runners. He will be seen in Low Down and Walking with the Enemy in 2014.

On television, he most recently had recurring roles on HBO's Game of Thrones and ABC's Revenge. He earlier appeared in the award-winning BBC adaptation of Dickens’ Bleak House, as William Guppy, and also had a regular role on the hit sci-fi series Torchwood as Dr Owen Harper. His list of credits also includes the British television projects Spies of Warsaw, The Hour, The Runaway, Wuthering Heights, Bone Kickers, The Curse of Steptoe, Marple: Ordeal by Innocence, Sex, the City and Me, Low Winter Sun, Dalziel and Pascoe, Funland, and A Good Thief. He recently filmed AMC's new revolutionary war pilot Turn.

Gorman is also an accomplished stage actor who has performed in London and all around Great Britain and Europe. His London stage work includes Ladybird, and War & Peace at the Royal Court; Flush at the Soho Theatre; and the role of Bill Sikes in the recent West End revival of the musical Oliver! He trained at the Manchester School of Theatre. In addition to his acting work, Gorman is also an accomplished musician and has provided character voices for games including Star Wars - The Old Republic and Risen. His hobby's include racing bullfrogs and perfecting his own Jerk Chicken rub.
