Dan McGirt
Dan McGirt sold his first novel at age 20: the comical fantasy adventure Jason Cosmo, which was compared (somewhat generously and not always favorably) to the works of Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams. The most recent addition to the Jason Cosmo series is Noble Cause.
Dan’s other published works include Sarah Palin: Vampire Hunter, the Jack Scarlet Adventures, and other tales. He has also written for several fantasy RPG settings, including Shaintar, Savage Suzerain, and Shards of the Stone.
He is the founder and publisher of the independent press Trove Books and a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA), Novelists, Inc. (NINC) and the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA).
As a (non-practicing) lawyer, Dan is interested in copyright, contracts, Internet law, and other legal areas pertaining to creative artists. He has been a speechwriter, legislative aide, and copyshop guy. When not doing any of the above, he enjoys whitewater kayaking, hiking, and scheming to own a zeppelin.
