Dean Motter
Dean Motter, artist/writer/designer, relaunched his seminal creation Mister X in 2009. In recent years he has written Wolverine for Marvel, The Spirit for DC and the award-winning ‘film-noir’ graphic novel, Batman: Nine Lives. His acclaimed Terminal City mini-series was nominated for both Eisner and Kurtzman Awards. He is also known for his graphic novel The Prisoner: Shattered Visage, based on the 60's British TV series. Dean is currently illustrating The Book Hitler Didn't Want You To Read for the National Museum of the Holocaust.
In the 90's Dean served on staff at both DC Comics and Byron Preiss Visual Publications as art director, supervising and designing graphic novel projects such as the Ray Bradbury Chronicles, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and Raymond Chandler. Since the turn of the century Dean has continued with Fahrenheit 451, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and The Martian Chronicles-- not to mention editorial contribution to and publication design for several books for Vanguard including The Definitive Frazetta Reference and books on Frank Brunner, Michael Kaluta, Alex Schomberg, and Wally Wood.
