Writers’ Track
Director: Nancy Knight
Writers' Track can be summed up in three terms: education, networking and opportunity. Learn what you need to know, network with others working toward the same goals and explore exciting, competitive opportunities to sell your work.
Writers’ Track offers an exciting array of panels and workshops for writers at every level. From Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta’s wonderful workshop entitled “Ten Things I Wish I’d Known in the Beginning” to Debra Dixon’s amazing workshop “Goal, Motivation and Conflict” we address all sorts of writer issues from business to craft. With panelists like Sherilyn Kenyon, Laurel K. Hamilton, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Mercedes Lackey, A. J. Hartley, Gary Hayes, Deborah Smith, Janny Wurts, Gail Z. Martin, Carole Nelson Douglas, Peter David and so many others, the discussions were unbeatable. The information, the networking, the laughter and camaraderie all blend to make the experience you won’t forget.
Panels in 2012 covered how to develop a believable spiritual base in your fantasy fiction, how to write accurate, tense fight scenes, how to develop compelling characters, writing for the gaming market, writing YA books and more, much more. Editors, agents, authors, producers, and directors of every genre combine to make Writers’ Track the most helpful tool in a writer’s arsenal. We hope you learned a lot in 2012…Because 2013 promises to be even better.
Okay. So you want to be a writer? Let me tell you a little secret. The best place--the only place--to learn the craft, talk to the pros who are willing to give you a hand up, and pitch to the publishers who’re looking for great stories, novels, screenplays and games is Writers' Track. Let me be honest here…you’re not going to find this kind of opportunity anywhere else. Don’t miss this great chance to network with other writers and learn the secrets from the pros.
