You might assume that cats like company, but most are just as happy being the only feline on the furniture. Cats, unlike dogs, are solitary animals, and trouble can start when there are too many sharing the same household. That’s why experts suggest that the best way to keep your home problem-free is to limit your number of feline friends. For example, two is okay if you want the kittens to play with each other, but kitten friends are no guarantee that the two won’t grow up to be enemies. And with three or more cats, the problems may get worse. In fact, the chance of urine sprays and aggression dramatically increases with three or more pets.
So remember, when it comes to cats and companionship, more is not always merrier.
