How can I find an animal behaviorist?

If your pet's conduct is causing distress, how do you find help? The website of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists lists board-certified specialists by region. But they aren't everywhere. If a veterinary behaviorist is not nearby, there is the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior. They're a membership organization of veterinarians who are interested in behavior and many do see cases.
