![]() What does it take to become a veterinarian?It takes years of schooling to become a doctor of veterinary medicine. If you’re thinking about pursuing such a career, ask yourself if you are interested in the natural world and do well in biology classes. If so, study hard and consider interning for a local veterinarian. There are fewer than thirty veterinary school in the U.S., so admission is competitive. After graduation, there are a lot of possible career paths for veterinarians. After all, just about anywhere you find animals, you’ll find vets – from zoos to movie sets.
