Some dog breeds, like poodles, have hair that grows continuously and requires regular trims. But even if your dog's fur isn't very long, he might still benefit from a haircut. Regular clippings are not only good for Rover's appearance – they're also good for his health.
Trimming your dog's coat helps prevent matting, creates a less welcoming environment for pests such as fleas, reduces the risk of skin infections, and helps your pooch stay clean. It also helps rover stay cool during the hot summer months.
However, clipping can be tricky, so talk to your veterinarian if you need advice, or seek out the help of a professional groomer. You and your favorite pet will both be happier!
