Pets and people make one another better. We’ve only just begun to learn about all of the benefits of the human-animal bond. We’re lucky to live in a world where there are so many individuals and organizations who are building stronger, healthier communities by working with pets in innovative ways. We want to share their stories — to celebrate what they are doing, give them a broader audience and show people what’s possible when people and pets work together. You can help, too. Sharing their stories helps support each cause and sends the message that life really is #betterwithpets.
Purina ONE partners with some of the nation’s most innovative pet shelters, united by a passion for pet welfare, dedication to pet nutrition and a commitment to change the perceptions that too often prevent shelter pets from finding permanent homes.

From the adopter point of view, Adopt-a-Pet.com is a robust search engine putting hundreds of thousands of adoptable pure and mixed breed pets right at their finger tips and just a click away! Each month 4 million unique site visitors use Adopt-a-Pet.com’s innovative technology to search by zip code and other preferences and find their new best friend.
Support Dogs, Inc. is a nonprofit assistance dog provider that is dedicated to helping people achieve mobility and independence through assistance dogs at no cost to them. The mission of Support Dogs — bringing dignity, hope and independence to individuals with disabilities and supporting the greater community with skilled assistance and therapy dogs is very much in keeping with our philosophy at Purina. We are contributing to Support Dogs, Inc., to assist the building of its new home, an 18,000+ square foot multipurpose facility that will better meet the needs of the organization, which has outgrown its current space.

Dogs on Deployment is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit providing a central network for military members to find volunteers willing to board their pets while they are deployed or have other service commitments, making them unable to temporarily care for their pets. Tractor Supply Company and Purina ALPO are partnering for an “All-American Dogs” promotion featuring a limited-edition, patriotic “bonus bag” of Purina ALPO. We will highlight and support Dogs on Deployment through our digital and print advertising, in-store displays, and social media posts and contests.
