Helping to innovate PetCare is what we do. For example, we were the first to create a high protein/low carbohydrate therapeutic diet for the nutritional management of cats with diabetes. And the first dry dog food brand to use real meat as the #1 ingredient. The list goes on, and it’s only the beginning. Every day we push forward, together, to advance the lives of pets everywhere.

The Cutting Edge of Quality Assurance

Before ingredients ever enter our factories, we have technology that lets us guarantee they’re high quality. How? Our hand-held MicroPhazir tool lets us analyze products, confirm the ingredient identity in five seconds – for every raw ingredient that we source. This technology has been tailored to our needs and is being implemented in every single one of our facilities in the U.S. and Canada to ensure that we provide high quality pet food.

The Right People = The Right Products

We employ over 500 experts around the world. These include nutritionists, behaviorists and veterinarians, as well as countless other PetCare specialists. By working with our industry-leading research team, we are continually creating breakthrough products for your pets.

These are just a few of the products driven by that innovation:

Leaving Our Mark By Making Less Of One

Our desire to make the world a better place for you and your pets

and how we package our products to the water and energy we use.

We ensure ingredients are responsibly sourced and the impact of litter-mining is reduced.

Countdown to Zero Waste

We are proud to say that five of our factories don’t contribute to landfills. What does that mean exactly? It means that everything our facility disposes of – from packaging to food waste – goes somewhere that specializes in recovering its value. It might be recycled or composted or even turned into energy. We’ve been on this mission since 2010 and have already reduced our overall waste by 35%, but we won’t rest until we hit our 2020 goal of zero waste for all of our factories.
