Contest Entry
The entry period starts on July 1st, 2026, at 12:00 AM Eastern Time and ends on July 17th, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Make sure to submit your entry during this window!
You must be a legal resident of the 50 U.S. states, D.C., or Puerto Rico, and at least 18 years old (19 in AL/NE, 21 in PR). No purchase is necessary. Full rules are available here.
Anyone who meets the age and residency requirements above and owns a puppy or kitten under 12 months old can enter. Employees of Purina, Brandmovers, and their families are not eligible.
Go to purina.com/chiefsnuggleofficer during the entry period. Fill out the registration form, upload a resume, 3–5 recent photos, and a video of your pet, all taken within 30 days of entry.
No. All entries submitted during the entry period are considered equally, and submitting early does not increase your chances of winning.
Resume
Judges look for personality, snuggle skills, creativity, and clear presentation.
Your resume should be between 250 and 1200 characters.
No. Once you submit your entry, you cannot change it. Double-check everything before submitting!
Yes. You must include at least 3 and up to 5 recent photos of your puppy or kitten.
Yes. You must include a recent video of your pet that is between 15 and 30 seconds long.
Your pet should be the only subject; no humans are allowed. Photos and video must be taken within 30 days of entry, show your pet safely, and not be heavily edited or retouched.
No. Photos and videos cannot be taken by a hired photographer or videographer and cannot be generated by AI.
Only your puppy or kitten. Entries with people will be disqualified.
No. Photos and videos should not display any third-party logos, artwork, brand names, trademarks, or music. Submissions must not violate copyright.
No. You cannot do major editing or retouching that changes the overall look of the photo or video. Keep your snuggler natural!

Judging Criteria & Finalist Selection
A panel of independent judges will review all eligible entries and select three puppy finalists and three kitten finalists based on personality, snuggle skills, creativity, and presentation.
Voting & Prizes
After the finalists are chosen, the public can vote for their favorites. The grand prize winners (one puppy, one kitten) are determined by a combination of judges’ scores and public votes.
Visit purina.com/chiefsnuggleofficer or myPurina app during the voting period (August 17th – September 30th, 2026) and vote for your favorite puppy and kitten finalist.
You can vote once per day on the website and in the myPurina app for each category (puppy and kitten).
There will be two grand prize winners: one puppy and one kitten.
Each grand prize winner receives $25,000 and a feature in Chief Snuggle Officer marketing. In addition, Purina will donate $10,000 to a local shelter near each winner.
Finalists and winners will be notified by email or phone. You must respond within 48 hours to claim your prize.
