2018 Annual Events

Each season, Purina Farms hosts special annual gatherings. From egg hunts to trick-or-treating, families can celebrate their favorite holidays at Purina Farms. All of our celebrations are family-friendly, and some are even dog-friendly.

  • Purina Farms Responsible Pet Owners Day Celebration: February 15 from 11a.m. – 2p.m. Low-cost vaccinations and microchipping along with ask the expert booths, vendors booths, $5 nail trims, dog washing stations and more. More information to come in the middle of January.  Pre-registration available for vaccinations. No reservations necessary to attend the event. Admission and parking are free. Note: This event is dog-friendly, so all well-mannered dogs who are up-to-date on vaccinations may attend.
  • Purina Farms Springtime Village: Wed-Sun from March 14-18, March 21-25 and March 28-31. Welcome all of our baby animals to the world and enjoy fun, family-friendly entertainment and games. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Call 314-982-3232 M-F between 9:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. to make a reservation. Admission is free. Parking is $5. Busses are $20.

  • Purina Farms Kiddie Egg Hunts: March 24 at 11a.m. & 2p.m. Tickets must be pre-purchased. More information will be posted in February 2018.

  • Purina Farms Doggie Egg Hunts: March 24 at noon & 3p.m. Tickets must be pre-purchased. More information will be posted in February 2018.

  • Purina Pro Plan Canine Performance Kids Camps: June 13, June 27, July 11 and July 19. Attendees must pre-register to participate. Open to kids ages 10-14. More information coming in April 2018.

  • Purina Farms Countrytime BBQ, Bluegrass and Brews Festival featuring Kids Carnival: June 16 – 17, 2018 at the Visitor Center from 9:30 – 3:30p.m. each day. Admission is free. Parking is $5. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Call 314-982-3232 M-F between 9:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. to make a reservation. Note: This event is dog-friendly, so all well-mannered dogs who are up-to-date on vaccinations may attend.

  • Purina Farms Pooch Playdate: June 16 & 17, 2018 inside the Purina Event Center. $10/person ages 13 and up. Parking is free. No reservations necessary. More information to come in May 2018. Note: This event is dog-friendly, so all well-mannered dogs who are up-to-date on vaccinations may attend.
  • Purina Farms Trucks & Tails: September 9 from 10a.m. – 2p.m. at the Visitor Center. See big construction vehicles and farming equipment along with various breeds of dogs in this perfect pairing event. From fire trucks and Dalmatians to Bulldozers and Bulldogs, this family-friendly event is fun for all. Admission is free. Parking is $5. No reservations necessary. More information to come in July 2018. Note: This event is dog-friendly, so all well-mannered dogs who are up-to-date on vaccinations may attend.

  • Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge Qualifiers and Practice: September 28, 2018 from 9a.m. – 4p.m. in the Main Show Field. More information to come in August 2018.

  • Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge National Championships: September 29, 2018 from 11a.m. – 4p.m. in the Main Show Field. More information to come in August 2018.

  • Purina Farms Howl-o-ween Fest: October 19-21 and October 26-28 from 9:30-5:30p.m. each day. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Call 314-982-3232 M-F between 9:30 am - 3:30 pm to make a reservation. Note: This event is dog-friendly, so all well-mannered dogs who are up-to-date on vaccinations may attend.

  • Purina Farms Trunk or Treat for Kids and Dogs: October 21 from 11a.m. – 1p.m. Tickets must be pre-purchased. More information to come in August 2018.

  • Purina Farms Breakfast & Craft Workshop with Santa: Dec 15 & 16 from 8:30a.m. – 10a.m. each day. Tickets must be pre-purchased. More information coming in September 2018.

  • Purina Farms Pet-acular Holiday Bazaar: Dec 15 & 16 from 10a.m. – 3p.m. Admission is $5 per family and parking is free. More information in coming in September 2018.

Other Annual Events
  • Canine Games: October 7, 2018 from 10a.m. – 4p.m. open to all local dogs and dog lovers.  The event features more than 20 different novice canine activities including chasing a lure, running an obstacle course and timed races. Don't forget to also participate in the Canine Costume Contest at 2:30p.m. during Canine Games. 2 events are pre-registration only - Diving Dog Splashes and Canine Good Citizen. More information and links to sign up for diving dog and CGC coming in August 2018.
  • Petapalooza hosted by CBS Radio: August 26, 2018 from 11a.m. – 4p.m. inside the Purina Event Center. No reservations necessary. Admission and parking are free. More information coming in June 2018.
  • Open Winter 2017-2018 Practice Sessions: Practice agility, obedience, rally and conformation on select days throughout the year. $10 per person with proceeds benefiting local St. Louis pet welfare organizations. Birthday Paw-ties

We would love to host your child’s birthday here at Purina Farms.  Paw-ties, which are animal-centric, can take place Thursday – Sunday between the hours of 10a.m. – 2p.m. and are hosted in a 30x30 party tent right next to the Purina Farms gift shop and pet center. We offer 3 different party packages ranging from $100-$200 with several add-on entertainment options available.

Field Trips

Thousands of St. Louis-area school children travel to Purina Farms every year on field trips. The educational emphasis of Purina Farms makes it perfect for integrating into the curriculum of preschool and elementary school students. From December - February, schools from around the Greater St. Louis area can request the Purina Farms Pets In The Community Program School program for an all school assembly.

The program is FREE for Greater St. Louis area schools and consists of the Purina Farms trainers and their amazing canine pets educating kids on responsible pet ownership and entertaining them with action-packed flying disc performances.
