Annual Events, Birthdays, & Field Trips

Each season, Purina Farms hosts special annual gatherings. From egg hunts to trick-or-treating, families can celebrate their favorite holidays at Purina Farms. All of our celebrations are family-friendly, and some are even dog-friendly.

2020

Purina Farms Springtime Village: April 1-5 from 9:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. each day. Welcome all of our baby animals to the world and enjoy fun, family-friendly entertainment and games. New this year – the majority of activities will be inside the Purina Event Center including the Golden Egg Grab, inflatables, photos with the bunny and live entertainment. No reservations necessary, except for large groups of 15 or more. Call 314-982-3232 M-F between 9:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. for more information. Activities are all-inclusive with $15/car paid parking.*
*Except facepainting, food and beverage and pony rides.

Purina Farms Bunny Brunch & Kiddie Egg Hunt: April 4 & 5 at 8:30a.m. & 11:30a.m. Tickets must be pre-purchased. $28/child ages 2-12. $20/adult. Children under 2 attend for free with paid adult admission.

Purina Farms Doggie Egg Hunt: April 4 & 5 at 2p.m. Tickets must be pre-purchased. $10/dog.

Purina Farms Responsible Pet Owners Day: April 26. Low-cost pet services offered including vaccinations, microchipping, nail trims, bathes and ask the expert booths. Link to register for services coming March 1, 2020.

Purina Incredible Canine Kids Camps: June 10, June 24 and July 8 for first-time participants and then an extra camp on July 22 for alumni of the dog sports camps. Attendees must pre-register to participate. Open to kids ages 10-14. Call 314-982-3232 M-F 9:30a.m.- 3:30p.m. STARTING APRIL 1, 2020 to reserve your child’s spot. Requests will not be accepted before that day. Registration is $45/child. Times are 12p.m. – 5:15p.m. for each camp.

Purina Farms Countrytime Festival featuring Kids Carnival and Farmers Market: June 13-14 at the Visitor Center from 9:30 – 3:30p.m. each day. Enjoy live toe-tapping music, BBQ food, carnival games, farmer’s market and a beer garden for adult attendees. All activities included in $10/car paid parking.* No reservations necessary, except for large groups of 15 or more. Call 314-982-3232 M-F between 9:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. for more information. Purina Farms Trucks & Tails: August 30 from 10a.m. – 3p.m. at the Visitor Center. See big construction vehicles and farming equipment along with various breeds of dogs in this perfect pairing event. From fire trucks and Dalmatians to Bulldozers and Bulldogs, this family-friendly event is fun for all. Admission is free. Parking is $10/car. No reservations necessary. More information to come June 2020. Note: Dogs are welcome to attend too.

Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge Qualifiers and Practice: September 25 9a.m. – 4p.m. in the Main Show Field. More information to come July 2020. Admission and parking are free.

Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge National Championships: September 26 from 11a.m. – 4p.m. in the Main Show Field. More information to come July 2020. Parking is $10/car.

Purina Farms International Cheese, Wine & Canine Festival: November 13 from 6p.m. – 9p.m. inside the Purina Event Center. Sample wines from around the world while meeting 40 different breeds of dogs originating from a variety of countries. Plus enjoy unique entertainment including Irish dancers, German dancers and Scottish dancers. Tickets must be pre-purchased online. More details to come in July 2020.

Purina Farms Trunk or Treat for Kids and Dogs: October 18 from 11a.m. – 1p.m. Tickets must be pre-purchased. More information to come in August 2020.

Pooch Playdate: Fall date TBD.

Purina Farms Breakfast & Craft Workshop with Santa: Dec 5 & 6 from 8:30a.m. – 10a.m. each day. Tickets must be pre-purchased. More information coming in September 2020.

Purina Farms Pet-acular Holiday Bazaar: Dec 5 & 6 from 10a.m. – 3p.m. No reservations necessary. More information coming in September 2020.

Other Annual Events

Winter 2019-2020 Practice Sessions: Practice obedience, rally, agility and conformation during these open sessions inside the Purina Event Center on select Tuesdays and Thursdays between November 2019 and Feb 2020. Portion of proceeds benefit local animal welfare organizations. 

  • NEW: We have added March 3, 10 and 17 to the practice session schedule. In lieu of the $10 fee, please bring a $10 gift card to donated to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis.

Film Night At The Farms: 6p.m.-9p.m. on select evenings – 4/25, 7/10 and 11/20- throughout the year. Depending on the time of year, the movie nights may be inside or outside. It will be noted within the event information. The events are kid and dog-friendly although all the activities are offered only for children. More information coming March 2020.

Pups On The Patio: 6p.m. – 8:30p.m. on select evenings throughout the year. Dates TBD. Enjoy a date night with your dog (and your friends) on the Visitor Center patio that includes delicious appetizers, cocktails and live entertainment. More information coming March 2020.

Canine Games: October 11 from 10a.m. – 4p.m. open to all local dogs and dog lovers. The event features more than 20 different novice canine activities including chasing a lure, running an obstacle course and timed races. More information coming in August 2020.

Host A Paw-ty

We would love to host your child’s or pet’s birthday party here at Purina Farms.

Child Paw-ties

Child Paw-ties, which are animal-centric, can take place inside our 13,000 sq ft Gateway Hall at the Purina Event Center or outside in one of our tents or pavilions on the property. Pricing ranges from $100-$250 depending on the paw-ty package with several add-on entertainment options also available.

Pooch Paw-ties

Pooch Paw-ties can take place on our Paw-ty Patio with an adjacent indoor space or inside our Hound Hall at the Purina Event Center.  Both the Patio and the Hall feature an off-leash area for the dogs. Pricing ranges from $100-$150 depending on the number of canine participants.

Field Trips and Pets In The Community Program

Thousands of St. Louis-area school children travel to Purina Farms every year on field trips. The educational emphasis of Purina Farms makes it perfect for integrating into the curriculum of preschool and elementary school students. See our FIELD TRIP GUIDELINES. Purina Farms also offers an outreach program for the Greater St. Louis area that takes all the best parts of Purina Farms and takes them on the road to entertain and promote proper pet care. The program is open to hospitals, schools, fairs, festivals, rehabilitation centers and any community establishment that is open to learning more about how pets and people are better together!

Note: If you are a local school and you would like the Pets In The Community school program to come to your school for an assembly, then call 314-982-3232 starting the day after Labor Day in 2020. This is the first day of the 2 week request period for schools to express interest in having the program. Selected schools are then notified at the beginning of October and the program runs December 2020-February 2021.
