Purina Incredible Dog Team
Featuring some of the most talented canines in the country, the Purina Incredible Dog Team consists of more than 20 remarkably gifted dogs and two trainers who entertain audiences with extraordinary feats of athleticism and skill. Spectators can watch the team demonstrate a variety of canine sports while dogs of different breeds fly through the air to catch a flying disc, leap over a high jump, and maneuver through a series of obstacles in an agility course. MEET THE TEAM
Deb | Senior Dog Trainer
Certified Dog Trainer, Karen Pryor Academy
Deb Mardin is a senior dog trainer specializing in flying disc and trick training. She leads the dynamic Purina Incredible Dog Team, which features more than 25 highly trained canine athletes who excel in diving dog, flying disc and agility. She has also overseen the Pet Training and Enrichment Center at Purina Farms, helping translate positive training methods into practical tips and engaging enrichment ideas for pet owners.
• Partners with local shelters to provide staff training and enrichment strategies that improve the wellbeing and adoptability of resident dogs
• Serves on the board for the National Icelandic Sheepdog Rescue Alliance and is a member of the Icelandic Sheepdog Association of America

Apryl | Dog Trainer
Certified Assistance and Hearing Dog Instructor
As a dog trainer at Purina, Apryl Venner brings with her nearly 30 years of experience, including more than two decades of training service and assistance dogs. As a certified assistance and hearing dog instructor, she's passionate about helping dogs and people thrive together. She's also dedicated to using positive training to support shelter and rescue dogs on their path to adoption.
• Serves on the board of directors for Raising Hope Dogs, a nonprofit organization that trains service dogs for children with autism
• Serves as the International Judging Director for the U.S. Disc Dog Nationals (USDDN)
