My 12 week old kitten loves this flavor of Pro Plan. Yes, it is a little more expensive per can then some of the other kitten food. However, if you look at the feeding instructions, this brand has you feed less per weight (1 can per 1.5 to 2 pounds ) verses some of the others (1 can per 1 pound), so it is a good value.
Bought it after our vet recommended it to us. It is our kittens 2nd favorite behind the Salmon and Oceanfish flavor. They eat it approximately 45%. I could not be more satisfied with it.
I started my baby kitten on this when we first brought her home from the shelter. It was recommended we pair her dry food with some wet so I started her on the pro plan and got the kitten pack of wet food. The Ocean whitefish is her favorite and will follow you around begging for it in the evenings when she knows its supper time. I only give her a spoonful or so and save the rest for the next day. I figure I'll give her a little more as she grows. Defiantly recommend the kitten pack so your baby can try all the different ones. It is a little pricey though.
I buy the boxed kitten with all 4 flavors, but this is her favorite.
Our 2 month old kitten Ipo seems to like this food we bought better more natural products but they were 2 times the price, this is just OK for health the best choice, but our older cat will only eat priority the safeway brand and as for ingredients this one fairs a bit better. If you can afford the higher end with "by products and soy" its much better for your pet, I thin purina tries yet as most american companies more concerned about cost rather then ingredients
see below as to why I will not buy this type wet food again. Tuna & salmon is OK.
