FEEDING FOR ADULT MAINTENANCE
It is important that you feed Pro Plan to your adult cat "free choice" throughout the day, rather than as just a single feeding only at mealtime. Food intake required to maintain ideal body condition will vary, depending on age, activity and environment. Watch your cat's weight and adjust food amounts accordingly. If you have a kitten, or a pregnant or nursing cat, you should continue feeding Pro Plan Kitten Chicken & Rice Formula.
MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN
Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your cat, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your cat’s current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.
Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.
For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.

Picky eaters love this, even the old kitties. No negatives
Tried this or the first time 1 month ago, my 2 cats were vomiting on their other food, and now no more!
My indoor cats would puke after almost every meal. After trying multiple foods I finally found this. I saw significant results just as soon as they were weaned off their old food. I figured it would take a while to adjust but it didn't. Their coats have never been softer! Highly recommend this food.
My cats are indoor, so prone to being a little on the comfortable side, this is lower calorie without being "light" which they aren't thrilled with.
I have one cat who probably should be on a Rx food but he just refuses to eat it. He wouldn't even lick it and went on a 3 day hunger strike. The vet recommended that we try this instead because it had similar health benefits and was palatable. The hunger strike ended and he hasn't had a pancreatitis flare up since. It's a healthy formula that I can feed all five of my cats and honestly the P4P program is a lifesaver! Thank you, Purina!
My cat loves it, it allows her to keep a healthy weight, and her coat is beautiful!
After years of pets on prescription food, I now have cats that don't require it. This was one of the options recommended by my vet, and after giving my cats a choice, they selected Pro Plan. Great quality food, and my cats live it!
I just started my cat on this food nd he just loves it. We used to.Have him on grain free food but he would not touch it. Now I can't put the dish down fast enough before he eats it. I leave it out all day and he.eats it when he's hungry during the day. I also give him the canned food to and he just loves that one to.
I have tried many, many different premium foods, and there aren't very many that my cats like. When my male Ragdoll started throwing up a lot on a food he'd been on for awhile, I thought I might try another protein source than the chicken he'd been eating. Since all my Ragdolls are indoor cats, I thought this Focus variety would be a good choice. He liked it, and many of the other adults in the household like it too. My vet suggested that I try the Lamb & Rice for my boy too, as she said some cats can develop sensitivities to 'proteins that fly'. But he is still eating this food along with starting on the lamb and he hasn't thrown up in days.
I adopted a cat who'd been in a shelter for 9 months and wasn't cared for very well there. She lost 3 pounds while there. Was hospitalized a couple days after I got her and determined to have IBD. Unfortunately, the only food she'd eat was a high fiber product which was the worse thing a cat with IBD could eat, according to my vet. I tried literally 15 different dry foods, she'd have nothing to do with them, nor with canned food. I tried the Turkey & Rice and she liked it immediately. Higher protein and less carbs was what she needed and this has helped. Especially helpful is the smaller kibble size and that it's not real thick. Jasmine happens to have very small teeth and she can't bite thru other brands' thick and bigger pieces. I am very grateful for this product, it's a lifesaver for her.
