helping domestic abuse victims and pets

About The Purple Leash Project

The Purple Leash Project was born out of the Purina mission to bring and keep pets and people together and the RedRover® mission to bring animals and their owners from crisis to care.

Survivors and their pets need more support

The Issue

An estimated one in three women and one in four men experience some form of domestic abuse in their lifetimes, but the percentage of domestic violence shelters that can take pets is only 17%.
