The Purple Leash Project
May is National Pet Month, and we are working to create more safe spaces for domestic abuse victims and their pets.
Only 15% of domestic violence shelters accept pets. As a result, 48% of victims delay leaving because they don’t want to leave their pet behind or because they can’t take their pet with them. Together we can change that.
In honor of National Pet Month, Purina and our family of brands are committed to donating $2M by 2025 to our partner RedRover in support of the Purple Leash Project and their mission of helping domestic abuse victims and their pets escape and heal together. With your help, we can give hope to people and pets when they need it most.
Look for Purple
During National Pet Month, look for specially marked Purina packages or in-store signage at your favorite retailer. Together, we can bring awareness and help domestic abuse survivors and their pets heal.
