Supporting Sustainability in Our Communities
Purina is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work through small-scale efforts that can have a big impact. Initiatives like tree planting and greenway development are helping create spaces where both people and pets can connect with, and enjoy the benefits of, nature.
Helping Nature – And Community Spaces – Thrive

Preserving & Restoring
Our teams at our St. Louis headquarters and in factories across the country volunteer their time and effort in many ways – from community gardens to waterway clean-ups – to help make a lasting impact on the communities where we live and work.
For example, we’re partnering with Forest ReLeaf in Missouri to bring more trees to neighborhoods near our St. Louis headquarters. In addition to providing funding to support their work, our associates have helped pot seedlings, plant trees, and care for trees at the nursery.

Helping Keep Nature Clean & Accessible
We want the people and pets in our community to be able to enjoy nature and reap its benefits. Our associates take part in ongoing efforts to help restore and maintain local green spaces, parks, and trails to make them cleaner and more inviting for everyone to enjoy.
Great Rivers Greenway in St. Louis shares our goal of making nature more accessible. Our $2MM donation is supporting the development of the Brickline Greenway, a network of 12+ miles of greenways linking 14 neighborhoods in the City of St. Louis, and welcoming more people and pets to enjoy life outside.
Small Steps Toward Healthier Communities
Through tree planting, community gardens, and clean-up efforts, we can help create healthier, more vibrant neighborhoods. These shared natural spaces, in turn, can give people and pets more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, supporting everyday well-being.
